Why I'm running
“Because the work isn’t finished. Teachers on Guam haven’t seen a pay scale increase since 2022, and we’re losing good educators to places that pay more. Our veterans cemetery may run out of space in three years. Simon Sanchez still needs to be rebuilt. We’ve introduced the bills, held the hearings, and asked the hard questions. Now we need to see it through. Our teachers, our veterans, and our families have waited long enough for promises. They deserve results, and we intend to deliver them.”

Senator Vince Borja chairs the Committee on Education, Libraries, and Public Broadcasting in I Mina'trentai Ocho na Liheslaturan Guåhan. A Veteran with the U.S. Army Staff Sergeant with multiple deployments to Iraq, he came home and kept serving as a teacher, coach, UOG adjunct professor, and small business owner. He holds a BBA and an MPA from the University of Guam, and an MBA and a Master of Science in Leadership from Grand Canyon University. In the Legislature, he fights for fair teacher pay, our veterans, and accountable government, working across the aisle because Guam's problems don't belong to one party.
The biggest issue facing Guam
Groceries, power bills, and rent keep going up. Paychecks don’t. Our families are working harder and falling behind, and too many are leaving home just to get by. We need real relief on power costs, accountable government spending, and wages that keep up. No one should have to leave Guam to make ends meet.

Our island is facing real pressure. Groceries, power, and rent cost more every month, and too many of our families are struggling to stay. Our teachers are underpaid, and our veterans are still waiting on promises made years ago. We’ve been doing the work. Introducing the bills. Holding the hearings. Asking the hard questions. But there’s more to finish, and we can’t do it alone. We’re asking for your vote so we can keep fighting for the families, teachers, and veterans who make Guam home.
