Why I'm running
“Answering the call to serve. Mark 10:45 reminds us that "even the Son of Man didn't come to be served. but to serve." I believe too many leaders forget who put them there and who they work for. I'm running to be public servant for the people of Guam -- to listen to your struggles, many of which are mine too, carry your voice into the legislature and roll my sleeves up to help solve real problems in our community. ”

I am Joaquin "Captain Kin" Cruz -- husband to my wife Christina, father of five, fisherman, small-business owner and lifelong member of Guam's community.

To the voters
I don't fit the mold of a career politician, and I won't sit and promise you things I know I can't fix. But what I can promise is that I'll show up, speak up and do the work. I'll ask the hard questions people are afraid to ask, stand up for the working families, and never forget who I work for -- the people of Guam. My actions have always spoken louder than my words, and that won't change if you give me the opportunity to serve.
