Fred E. Bordallo Jr Age: 66yrs #8 on the Democrat Party Ballot Fred resides in the village of Santa Rita with his wife, Dolores San Nicolas Cruz Bordallo “Lily” a retired teacher. They raised four children and have ten grandchildren. Fred is the 2nd oldest of eleven children raised in Agana Heghts and Tamuning. Fred is a military veteran with service in the United States Marine Corps, U.S. Army Reserve, and Naval Reserve. Fred retired from the Guam Police Department as Chief of Police, 29 years of service, appointed to and served in 2019-2020 as the Executive Director Guam Veterans Affairs Office, and Director Department of Corrections 2023-2026. Why I'm running
“1. I am campaigning to be a newly elected Senator with the 39th Guam Legislature, because I am confident that I can make a difference with legislative initiatives that improve the safety of our island, advance better healthcare programs, especially addressing the meth drug epidemic, provide vocational and education programs that will impact our island’s social and economic progress. Besides the influence of my parents Attorney Fred Bordallo and GMHA Director of Nursing Annie Bordallo who raised me and my siblings to help our community thrive, it was after serving in the Guam Police Department ”
The biggest issue facing Guam
4. The most pressing challenge that our island faces is the economic challenge high cost of living food prices, with our tourism industry impacted from high fuel and energy cost and the stressors that exist with this is substance abuse with criminal activities. I planned to address it with legislative policies that are strategic with freezing government fees to the public, coordinating communications with the incoming administration and delegate to congress to obtain more federal funding for Guam’s energy infrastructure and public safety programs, and public health programs for those needing
To the voters
I am a parent and grandfather and with my wife Lily, a retired educator we care about the future of our children, our grandchildren and our island. This is why I am committed to keeping Guam safe and helping to improve our social economic conditions, while Lily continues to contribute her time with improving Guam’s education system with teacher training and certifications.
The first 100 days
My top three priorities that I will focus on with my vision of security for Guam, prosperity for the people will be to initiate public safety legislation that advances law enforcement/homeland security volunteer programs that augments our public safety agencies, make reforms of Guam’s corrections system with the lobbying of Federal funding which involves expansion of substance abuse treatment centers, and proffer legislation that invest in music and the arts vocational and education.
